Aims of Boy Scouts

 

   *Character Development


        This aim is to build self-reliance, self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-respect.
  
   *Citizenship Training

        This aim is to nurture respect of, participation in, and caring for community, nation, and 
        world while fostering a commitment of service to others and an understanding of local, 
        state, and national government.

 

    *Personal Fitness

   
         This aim is to develop life-long physical, mental, emotional, and moral fitness.

 

 

Cub Scout Pack 417

Ages 7 to 10 (1st to 5th Grade)

Meeting during the school year from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at St. Peter’s School

Purposes of Cub Scouting

Cub Scouting is a family-oriented part of the Boy Scouts of America program designed for boys who are in first through fifth grades. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the 10 purposes of Cub Scouting:

Character Development, Spiritual Growth, Good Citizenship, Sportsmanship and Fitness, Family Understanding, Respectful Relationships, Personal Achievement, Friendly Service, Fun and Adventure, Preparation for Boy Scouts
