Welcome to the fascinating world of hands-on science!
Our unique brand of exciting, interactive activities instills a clearer understanding of how science affects the world around us. Through Mad Science, our campers will be able to touch, see, hear, smell and taste what science is really all about.
Mad Science camp offers a daily combination of in-class discovery, exploration, outdoor games, physical activities as well as hands-on applications. Each day campers create a variety of take-home projects and participate in experiments while exploring the scientific principles presented.
In conjunction with the science camp, there will be child care from 12:00 to 4:30. There are 3 different camps each with a different focus for ages 6-14. We will also be offering the same theme camp for children ages 3 ½ to 5 for three weeks.
Classes will be limited to a maximum of 12 students per class and grades 1-3 may be combined and grades 4-7 will be combined.
Food and drinks will not be provided during the day, therefore make sure your child has plenty of water and a lunch.
Deposits and registration forms are due to the school office no later than May 21st. The deposit is ½ of the total cost of the camp, make checks payable to St. Peter’s School. Once your check and registration form is received by the school, you will receive a confirmation and an authorization form. The authorization form and balance of the payment will be due on the first day of camp.
Science camp teachers are employees of Mad Science of Southern Maryland and have completed the ADW Child Protection process and background checks. The day care workers are employees of St. Peter’s School.
