A note about the St. Peter's Band performance at the Archdiocesan Music Festival by Mr. Petrow:
On Sunday, March 18th, the St. Peters school band under the direction of Mr. Petrow, performed at the 50th annual Archdiocesan Music Festival at Bishop McNamara HS. The band was one of 25 Catholic School bands to perform that day. Each band played 2 pieces and was graded on its musical performance.
The band earned a Superior rating which is the highest possible rating. It was a very impressive performance by a very impressive group of boys and girls who worked very hard to achieve this rating. Congratulations to all.
Twelve of those very talented band students will also be performing along with 60 other students in the Archdiocesan honors band on March 31st. We also had 10 students participate in the Charles county solo and ensemble festival at Davis middle school. Seven of them will be going on to State Competition at Towsen University in May.
We congratulate all on their accomplishments this year! Go Storm Band! |
